Description

Skyward Shade carries integrated shade over the play deck — the reason to pick it over a comparable Rising Star structure.

Nine elevated components and six at ground level, holding 34 to 40 children at an 84-inch fall height.

BEST FOR: Open sites with no tree cover, and southern-facing installs where summer deck temperature is a real complaint.

At a glance

  • Model PKP313
  • Ages 5-12
  • Capacity 34-40 children
  • Safety zone 47′ 5″ x 32′ 1″
  • Fall height 84″
  • 3.5-inch posts
  • ADA play components: 9 elevated, 6 ground level
  • Meets ASTM F1487-21 and CPSC #325

Color options. Primary and Neutral are the standard schemes. Custom Color lets you match a town or school palette and carries a premium — worth specifying only if someone has actually asked for it.

Built-in shade is worth more than it looks on a spec sheet. Metal decks in full sun get hot enough to end a visit early, and retrofitting a shade sail later costs more than specifying it now.
