Description
The Psagot Playgrounds Richmond D is a multi-level HDPE play system for ages 5-12, with a capacity of 83 children. What sets this one apart is the emotional communication theme — the walls are engraved with expressive faces and smiley icons that encourage kids to recognize and share feelings while they play. It is a mix of physical challenge and social-emotional learning. ASTM F1487 and IPEMA certified.
BEST FOR: Schools and parks that want a play structure doing double duty: physical activity and social-emotional development. The Richmond D is a strong choice if your program values emotional literacy alongside climbing and sliding.

What Makes the Psagot Playgrounds Richmond D Stand Out?
I find the Richmond D interesting because it goes beyond the usual climb-and-slide formula. The engraved faces and emotion icons on the walls give teachers and caregivers a built-in conversation starter — kids can point to how they feel, talk about emotions, and engage in a way that most playground equipment does not encourage. That is not a gimmick; it is a design choice that supports social-emotional learning during unstructured play.
The physical side is solid too. Multiple levels, height transitions, ladders, and balance elements keep kids moving through the structure in a continuous flow. The interactive play panels at eye level promote conversation and cooperation between kids. Bottom line: if you want a structure that develops both bodies and emotional intelligence, the Richmond D is one of the few that does both well.
